Goodbye to the Love Boat

What an extra special time this has been, sailing on the unbelievably smooth waters of the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas, waking each day to another amazing and spectacular location.











Each evening luxuriating in the ease of shipboard life, massive menus and winning wines.
It's been a treat to observe so many variations to our collective human nature and idiosyncratic habits.








We've met wonderful people and been waited upon by thoroughly attentive and friendly staff, being made to feel individually special.
Each time we've participated in a land tour, we've been amazed at how smooth the operation of getting over 1000 people into their correct groups and away (and back) on time, every time!
Now it's time to close the chapter on Mr and Mrs Howell, the odd couple (twins), the Ferrari driver and the plastic ladies.

It's time to get behind the wheel and head for San Gimignano, remembering to keep to the right and put the foot on the clutch.
