And now for some food ...

Our meals have been amazing - we've found that having a reasonable breakfast has been more than enough to get us through until dinner time.  And we've had to cut down on breakfast size too, generally the servings are so huge, the discomfort level is not worth the moment on the lips. It took us a few days to get good espresso, we've found our "coffee guy" so the heart rate is running to pattern again.  Deciding on dinner venues has not been a challenge either, we're surrounded by great, and I mean absolutely fantastic, restaurants and bars that only require ten paces from our apartment.  When we wish to venture further, our choice is generally from NoLita, Soho, Bowery, NoHo, Little Italy and West Village - some choice eh !  We have been provided with a very comprehensive list of recommendations, (thanks Amanda!).  Finding each one is an adventure in itself, the reward is always the food and wine.  Here's a sample menu .....

Christmas Day @ Nomad Hotel - 68 page wine list, so better start with a beer first.  Chose a Californian Pinot from the Anderson Valley - very smooth.
