New Year's Eve - A Memorable Occasion

We arrived at the Lambs Club a couple of hours early - we weren't sure how long it was going to take for us to negotiate the crowds - we were seeing news helicopter reports of large the crowds gathering, and we didn't want to miss any pre-dinner drinks.   We felt very special flashing our invitations to the police at the barricades ... stand aside, we're here to party !   We parked ourselves at the bar and watched as the staff were briefed, readying themselves for the 150 odd diners about to descend upon the room.  At last the night began.  Champagne, matching wines with every course and a general issue of noise makers to bring in the new year.  About 11:30pm coats and gloves were collected before venturing out into the 0 degree night of clear skies and brilliant neon lights.  Here's some evidence of our New Year's eve in NYC 2012.

We arrive early at the barricades
