Rome observations

It's customary to stroll everywhere.  Fast paced walking is uncool
Everyone talks on their mobile while strolling - even nuns!

Almost everyone smokes - while strolling and talking
We are unique in drinking alcohol before dinner - even business lunches have the bottled water on the table - but no sign of wine or beer
When driving it's customary to flat foot it everywhere even if you can only move 1 metre

Road rules appear non existent - except when faced with a red light.  Then it's a drag race as soon as the lights change - particularly with the vespas which have all pushed their way to the front during the pause.

If you need to stop and can't find anywhere to park it doesn't matter. Just drive into the smallest space available, a corner, footpath, bus stop - anywhere you can squeeze in - even double and triple parking appears acceptable - as long as you listen for the honking horn of the poor guy you've blocked in.

Smart cars are common and fit nose to footpath very easily
We've not seen one Honda
Common cars in the smallest versions: Mercedes, BMW, Mini, Peugeot, Fiat, VW, Audi

Roman women have great backsides and wonderful curves

Everyone's uber cool, even the kids

Mandarines trees are the streets cape - none left at arms length though
