Some UK observations

There is very little roadkill compared to driving in Australia.  When we do see anything on the side of the road, it's generally rabbit or fox, occasionally a hedgehog.

Dogs are allowed everywhere.  In restaurants, hotels, shops, parks, even in the loo.  People are generally very tolerant and as a result most of the owners are equally responsible.  Why can't e have this in Aus too?

The sheep have black faces, which makes them look fat in the body and skinny in the head.

A lot of the villages have two pubs and not much more

Most of the homes built near or on the coast are made from stone and cement, with slate roofs, while most of the homes built inland have thatched roofs, white walls and low ceilings.

Footpaths are few and far between, locals and tourist have to negotiate the road, sharing with traffic and farm equipment.  Scary in places.

There are no tolls on the motorways

The speed limit is a secret on the motorways.  There are no speed signs unless there's a restriction.  We've been traveling at 80 miles an hour and still being passed by the outside lane.
