There are flower pots in every town, in hanging baskets on shop fronts, in flower beds around the streets, even petty little pots decorating the front of the river barges on the Avon River. Very pretty masses of colour.
Every single town we have visited or driven through has been spotless, no litter in the streets, the grass well maintained and where there are footpaths, kept immaculate.
The roads are in amazing condition, there are almost no potholes, even on the most minor roads. Trucks have to use all the roads, from the most narrow to the motorways, and still the surface is in perfect order. Why isnt ours?
Everywhere we visit the people are very friendly, helpful and service has been exemplary. Our experience of London was completely different. Glad to see it's not country wide.
The signposting on all roads, including tracks and back lanes, is fantastic, making it very easy to navigate. When approaching large roundabouts, the road numbers are painted on the lanes, so you are confident you're in the right lane for the applicable exit. Must cut down on roundabout accidents.
